Welcome to BStruths, a humor blog featuring relatable personal stories, awkward situations, blunt observations, life lessons, and the uncomfortable truths people don’t always say out loud.
Written by Ruth Witty, BStruths gives everyday nonsense the unnecessary analysis it deserves.
You may learn something from these stories.
Or you may not. Who cares? At least you were entertained.
Some stories come from my own life. Others are inspired by the strange, funny, embarrassing, and completely unnecessary situations people deal with every day. Names and identifying details may be changed because this is a humor blog—not evidence.
Why BStruths Exists
Life gives us plenty of advice, but much of it sounds good only when printed over a sunset.
“Always be the bigger person.”
“Everything happens for a reason.”
“Just stay positive.”
Okay, but sometimes the bigger person is tired. Sometimes the reason is that somebody made a stupid decision. And sometimes staying positive means positively refusing to deal with someone’s nonsense.
BStruths exists for those moments.
This is where we look at ridiculous situations, admit what we could have done better, and extract whatever lesson survived the disaster.
No fake perfection. No pretending every situation was handled gracefully. Sometimes I learned an important lesson. Sometimes I said, “Oh well. Who fucking cares?” and moved on.
Both are valid endings.
What You’ll Find Here
Expect relatable stories about friendships, family, work, relationships, embarrassing moments, unsolicited opinions, questionable decisions, and the everyday situations that make you quietly ask:
Why are people like this?
Each story comes with dry humor, blunt observations, and whatever truth happens to be hiding underneath the bullshit.
I’m not a life coach, relationship expert, therapist, or enlightened person who wakes up at 5:00 a.m. to meditate. I’m simply someone who notices nonsense and enjoys discussing it.
You may agree with me. You may disagree. You may laugh, roll your eyes, or feel personally attacked.
That sounds like your business.
About Ruth Witty
Ruth Witty is my pen name because writing under my real name would interfere with my ability to discuss people peacefully.
I’m not claiming to have life completely figured out. I’m telling the stories, sharing what I learned—or failed to learn—and occasionally admitting that I may have been part of the problem.
Self-awareness is important, even when it arrives late and slightly annoyed.
Join the Nonsense
BStruths isn’t supposed to be a one-person lecture.
Read the stories, share your experiences in the comments, and tell me how you would have handled the situation. If you think I’m the one serving fresh bullshit, you’re welcome to say that too.
Every story ends with one simple question:
B.S. or truth? Tell me in the comments.
